**Maurits Cornelis Escher** Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972), born in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, was a multidisciplinary artist and his heritage in fine graphic and mathematical arts, is known worldwide. This left-handed person (like Vinci, Dürer or Holbein) will realize throughout his life, nearly 450 lithographs, wood engravings, woodcuts, more than 2000 drawings and countless graphic researches.
