Dawn Snell was born in Peterborough, Ontario. Her early training was at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art where she was guided by such teachers as Arthur Lismer and A. Y. Jackson of the Group of Sever, Jacques De Tonnancoeur, and Ann Savage. Works by Dawn Snell hang in homes and galleries across Canada and the United States and have been shown in many wildlife and Art exhibitions.
