**Claude Simard** Claude Simard was a Canadian painter, known for his colorful canvases depicting floral garden scenes, landscapes, still lifes and characters.He was born in Quebec in 1943 and has contributed immensely to Canada's artistic heritage and was part of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.He graduated from the Ontario School of Fine Arts and after an internship in England he was hired as the director of advertising and visual design for Maison Simons stores in Quebec City in 1966.
